Rue du Pavé is a place for self-expression through the medium of leather accessories.
Each piece reflects both maker and wearer.
Trained in the classical tradition of leatherwork in France, Clémence began at Chanel as a petite main before refining her craft at J.M. Weston and exploring prototyping for Louis Vuitton. Her path took her from Doha to Paris, where the most formative years of her career were spent at Hermès’ Petit h, a space of boundless creativity that continues to shape her work today. Life eventually brought her to Melbourne, where she continues to collaborate with local labels, sharing insights shaped by more than fifteen years of international experience.
Today, at Rue du Pavé, Clémence honours the lifelong dedication, patience, and care required to master a craft, creating leather accessories that are as thoughtful as they are distinctive.
"Rue du Pavé takes its name from the street where my grandparents lived in the Champagne region of France, a place where my love for all things 'manual' truly began."
